Happy Birthday Uncle Dean

Sunday we celebrated Danny's Birthday. The kids had fun putting on a puppet show for all of us...

And, as always, enjoyed blowing the candles out on the birthday cake, and opening Danny's presents!

Night Out with out Daddy

This past weekend Chad headed up to Montana for a quick weekend fishing trip. Chad, Cory and a couple of Cory's friends all headed up right after work on Friday. They fished in the freezing cold Friday night, and then woke up early to freeze again and fish all day Saturday. Porter was so excited to hear about the fish that he had to call and check in with Chad oh I'd say... at least 50 times!! I kept telling him to leave his dad alone, but he just couldn't stand not knowing exactly what his daddy was doing. At one point I heard him dialing a number on the phone AGAIN, so i said, "Porter, what are you doing?" He quickly hung up, and told me that he was trying to call Grandma and Grandpa, but he thought he had accidental dialed his dad's phone number instead! What a stinker. Chad had a great trip, and caught two big fish. The boys loved helping dad get them ready to eat.

While Chad was gone we had our fun too. Friday night we hung out with my mom and dad all night! We played tons of games, and went to play/eat at arctic circle. The kids love playing anything and everything with Grandma and Pa.
Saturday night Maria and I packed up the kids and headed to the Mayan. It was a little disappointing, but we were glad we had an activity to keep us and the kids busy! The kids had fun... so I guess I can't complain too much.

Roc's 4 Month check up

One more thing to remind me how fast my baby is growing up!!

At his 4 month check up they told me I could start feeding him cereal. I didn't start either of the other boys right at 4 months, but Roc has been seeming a little more ready than the other two were. He was sleeping 6-7 hours at night, but for the last few weeks has gone back to 4 or so. I hope that a little extra in his tummy will help fix that! I finally moved him into his crib last night... and he did pretty good.
He weighed 15 pounds 4 ounces. Almost the same as Porter. Porter weighed 15lb 6oz. Trace has always been smaller. (13lb 5oz)
He is 25 inches long. This puts his weight in the 75%, and his length in the 50%. I love my chunky 4 month old!

Trace gets to be apart of a fun play group. There are five kids in the group, all his age and neighbors of ours. We rotate houses, and this week we were at mine. Porter didn't have preschool this week because of Martin Luther King day, and so he got to help out with the kids. We always have so much fun, but this time was extra fun because I had help! Thanks Sport! We talked about snow, the color white, and most of all Frosty the Snowman. We marched around my house singing the song... Then we made (and ate) Frosty out of donuts, candy and whipped cream! I feel so lucky to live in a neighborhood full of kids my kiddos ages!

Coolest Uncle Award...

Dusty is such a great brother and uncle! This past weekend he took Porter to see the Dinosaur show at the Energy Solution arena. Porter thought the show was great, but even better because he was spoiled by Dust.

Happy New Year!

We celebrated the starting of the new year with good friends, good fun, and LOTS of good food! We got to go spend the night in Tiff and Jolley's cabin. We had a great time playing games, watching movies, laughing, and eating. All the kids had so much fun running around playing together, and they all were pretty well behaved. Happy 2009!!!
