Roc's 5 month pictures

Here are a few pictures of Roc... I dropped my camera and bent my lens while shooting them, so we didn't finish... BUMMER. But he's cute, so here they are...

Sleep over with...

THE BIG BOYS!!

Two of my nephews (Nick and Keaton) are out of track now, so we were lucky enough to have them over for a sleepover! We all went swimming and then out for ice cream. Porter and Trace were in heaven all night. They all slept in sleeping bags in the front room, and the big boys played and played with them! I have to admit, I was sad when they had to go home. It's pretty nice having two great babysitters around!

My dad met us over at the pool to see the kids, and I was glad he did! He held Roc the entire time!

Trace got tubes!

On Wednesday we had an appointment with an ENT for Trace's ears. He has always had lots of ear infections, and we finally decided it was time to see about tubes. The ENT said that his ears looked like they had lots of scare tissue, and that it was time. He said he would like to get him in as soon as possible, so Friday morning we took him to the hospital! Everything went really good. I can't believe how quick the procedure is. They put them under with just a mask, and within 15 min have the tubes in, and Trace back awake. He did really good with the whole process.

We let him have his Binky (Yeah, he still has one... usually just for sleeping, but we figured it might be good to have with us), billy the cow (blanket), and his teddy. He thought he was pretty special. When we got to the hospital they had a cute little gown for him, yellow socks, and a new little teddy bear. They even gave him his own little TV to watch while we were waiting. Yep, Trace loved being the center of attention. When they took him away he didn't even hesitate. When they came to get us, they said he didn't even cry. Too bad that didn't last! As soon as he saw us, he started to cry big golf ball tears! He was fine after a few min., and the rest of the day he was his normal self. What an easy surgery!

Later that night Chad and Porter went skiing again!! Porter keeps getting better and better

Valentines Party

Today Porter's class had a Valentines Party. Why is it that I love holidays so much?? I had so much fun filling out DINOSAUR valentines with Porter for all of his friends. We tied them on to squeeze it's! He got lots of fun valentines and treats from all of his friends too.

Tooth fairy?

Yep... That is right. We had our first visit from the tooth fairy Sunday night! At Chads birthday party, Porter decided that his tooth was too loose to leave it alone. So we pulled it out! Porter was amazed that the tooth fairy could take the tooth from under his pillow, and leave money, all while he was sound asleep! I guess she's magic.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO CHAD!

Chad turned 29 this past weekend... And in the tradition of all week birthday we started celebrating Friday night. We used our February "date of the month" card. My Mom and Dad kept the boys while Chad and I went to the Gateway for a really fun night away!! We went to see TAKEN. It was really good, but pretty intense. The whole idea of the show kept me feeling a little sick most of the time, but I still liked it, and recommend it. Then we went to Taifoon for dinner. Thanks again to my Mom and Dad for such a fun Christmas present, and for watching the kids. (it wasn't easy, since Roc refused to take a bottle, and we were gone 6 hours.)

Saturday we woke up and took Porter for another day on the slopes. He is doing so good... Notice the new outfit and Helmet?? His Dad has been shopping on KSL all week trying to find good deals on good gear. And now he has it all. We picked him up a pair of ski's last night to add to the rest of the ensemble! My dad came skiing with us, which made the day even better. Janet and Steve kept the little boys, and much to my surprise... Roc took a bottle just fine! It's getting close to Cabo, so every chance he will take a bottle makes me feel a little better about leaving him!

Sunday, and Chads actual Birthday, we had everyone over for dinner. The best surprise of the night was an announcement from Dusty and Kelsey! Yeah... I'm going to be an aunt again!! I can't wait to meet this new addition. Everything was great that night, and even though I always stress about having all those people in my house, it worked out great... as it usually does.

Last night we went to the Draper Temple open house with Tiff and Jolley. Brett and Sarah were going to come too, but Brett had a church meeting, so we missed them. The temple is so beautiful. Porter and Trace were excited to get to be inside the temple, and couldn't believe the big crystal chandeliers! I can't wait for the temple to be dedicated so we can do a session their... it really is so pretty. After dinner we went to eat at Hires... Yum Yum!

Funny kids

Chad: Porter, I can't wait to go to the top of the mountain next time with you!
Porter: Yeah, um about that... I've already been to the top of the mountain.

On the way to my mom and dads...
Me: Porter, you make me so happy.
Trace: Me make you happy too!

As we passed Chuck E Cheese...
Trace: Me go n Cheese's with mine Daddy... it makes mine daddy happy!

What a day!

Okay so once again we have had one crazy Saturday! Porter and Chad woke up really early to go ice fishing. Porter loved it, and Chad was proud of him. He didn't complain about the walk, being cold, or getting bored! He loves to be with his Daddy. The fishing was slow, so Porter started making friends with the other people fishing around them. He buddied up with a group of older guys, and one of them had a bite, and he let Porter pull it in. He even let Porter keep the fish! They had a few other bites, but all of them got away.

When they got home we hurried to get ready for another adventure.... SKIING! One of our good friends use to be a ski instructor, and he offered to get a group of kids together that hadn't skied yet, and teach them how. We have been wanting to get Porter skiing, but haven't been able to do it yet. We decided this was as good of a time as any, so we all packed up and headed to Powder Mountain for a night on the slops. I went to watch in the lodge with Trace and Roc... I'm not exactly sure the word LODGE is very fitting though. They have this really small cafe that is warm, but old and little. We had way to many people in there, but it was still fun being with friends. Trace and Roc both did great... Now for my little ski bums!! They started with a introduction to "Pizza" and "French Fries". Porter picked up on it really quick, so Adam told Chad to start on a little hill. Again, Porter nailed the little hill quick, so before I knew it, him and Chad were headed up on the tow rope. After the first crash Porter was done with that... Cried most of the rest of the time. :) He did great, but I'm not sure he'll let us talk him into it again very soon, but I'm sure we will try! He did go all the way to the TOP, and he made it back down safely. Even though he didn't love it, he did fantastic. He was even starting to learn how to turn!

Trace and Mayci hangin out in the Lodge (or I guess from now on I'll call it the "grease pit"??)

Roc Played with his toys most of the time!
Porter after a long night of skiing! Boy it feels good to take of all that gear!
