We met Zuri... Have you??

My Mom and Dad took us to the Zoo for family night last night... and boy was it fun! The Zoo is full of baby animals. A baby Elephant, giraffe, three tigers, monkey (born yesterday), leopard, alligator, and muskrats. I love watching all the animals, especially the little ones. It was hot, and most of the animals were resting in the shade, but we had such a great night! Hooray for being off track!!

After the zoo we went to my favorite place to eat. SPAGHETTI FACTORY. It's been a long time since I've been, and it was every bit as good as I remember... YUMMY.

Another fun week in St. George

This past week I took the kids to St. George for the week. We had so much fun with my friend Shelli and her two kids. It's always more fun to be around the kids when life revolves around them all day everyday. We spent the days at the pool, and the nights at parks. We even hit more than one park each night. The weather was PERFECT. The kids were PERFECT. The house was PERFECT. The Swimming was PERFECT. And all the playing was PERFECT. Thanks Janet and Steve for a PERFECT first week off Track!

Old Mcdonald...

Oink, Moo, Cock-a-doodle-doo...
Roc wants to turn one with you!!

And boy was it fun! We had such a crazy birthday party weekend. Starting with our friends on Friday night. We invited a few of our neighborhood friends over for Billy the Cows Udderly delicious ice cream parlor. Everyone brought a different kind of ice cream and we played outside. The kids all were so cute, and I loved having everyone over.

Saturday we had both our families over for our barn yard to do... As always, there were too many people in my little house... But tons of fun. We ate Ribs, Corn on the cob, Baked Beans, Coleslaw, Corn Bread, lemonade and Rootbeer. Then after dinner we had Billy's Ice cream again...

Happy Birthday Roc. You are one cute little One year old.

Happy Birthday~

ROC'S ONE!!! I can't believe it has been a year since I had him. He has been such a joy in our lives, and I can't imagine life with out him. He is such a happy silly baby. Still as busy as can be, into everything and anything he can think to get into! He loves his brothers, and wants to be where ever they are. Here is a list of the few things Roc is doing as my ONE year old:

~claps his hands

~waves hi, bye, and goodnight

~Try's to sign more, eat, and drink

~blows kisses

~we are working on his animal sounds. He can Moo, Roar, Bark, SSS, and Oink (He repeats us, doesn't yet know just by the name of animal!)

~walks/runs

~eats everything, and I mean everything!

~gives great kisses (or tries to eat your face...)

~loves banging on things like he is playing the drums

We CELEBRATE tonight, tomorrow night, and Sunday. Party pictures will follow! WE LOVE YOU ROC!!

Girls Trip

Well put it down in the record book... I had my first girls trip that lasted more than one night... BARELY. We left for St. George Sunday after church, and were back by dinner on Tuesday. Footloose was playing at Tuacan, and we've been wanting to see, so we loaded up and took off. Our trip went like this:
1- I bought a bag a cheese curds on our way, and the girls laughed at me!
2 - When we got to Kriste house we decided it would be fun to have a sleep over in Kriste's room, so Kriste and I shared her bed, and Marla slept on the floor.
3 - Watched 13 going on 30.
4- We woke up on our own without kids crying or jumping on us.
5- Did a little workout.
6 - Ate a huge breakfast at bear paw.
7 - shopped
8 - laid by the pool and read magazines.
9 - Ate at 25 main for dinner.
10 - Went to see footloose, where we first rode a bull.
11- Woke up early for more breakfast at 25 main... i think the workers though we were nuts.
12 - On our way home stopped at Dear Lizzies for a little more shopping.
13 - ATE AGAIN AT KNEEDERS.

As you can tell, we did all my favorite things... Most importantly we ate great! It was so fun being with Kriste and Marla. Fun Times!

LAGOON

Grandpa Steve decided a family Lagoon day was in order this year!! And boy are we all glad he did... We were there before the gates opened, and didn't leave until they closed. The kids played all morning (except Porter had a soccer game, so we left in the middle for a quick game, and then hurried back for more fun) and afternoon. We had a fun picnic lunch at the park, and then played some more. Around dinner time, and after the kids had reached the max, we left for a yummy dinner at Janet and Steve's. After dinner we got a babysitter for the kiddos, and all the adults headed back for the BIG rides. What a blast we all had. I think I might have laughed and screamed more in those few hours then I had for years. Look for all the soaked clothes in the pictures... Cliff hanger was CRAZY!
Chad was enjoying a little or I guess Big Golf tournament with Brett and Jolley for Brett's 30th Birthday Party. They were able to watch some big names play, but the highlight for him was watching Brett and Jolley act like 15 year old girls watching Tiger woods set the course record. Sounds like they had a blast, but we missed having him there. I've got to say, I'll be glad when all this single mom business is done. I really do miss him.

State Fair

Admission to State Fair: $8

Ride on Yellow Slide: $3
Snow Cone: $5
Ride on the Tornado: $4
Chance to see "The World's Smallest Horse": $1
Having a BALL at the fair: PRICELESS!!

Okay, so I know that picture is pretty classless... but I have got to say, that going to the fair in general is pretty classless. Every year we go, and every year I am blown away by the people we are surrounded by. Maybe this is why I love going. Maybe it gives me a chance to be the white trash I truly am?? Either way, We go, and we have fun every time!

This year we parked in our trusted parking place, the same one Porter always remember. Tiff and Sarah and I decided to make the journey without the Dads, and Journey it was. The first conversation went like this:

Me: Porter and Trace stay close by, there are a lot of crazy people here.

Me under my breath to Tiff and Sarah: A lot of White Trash.

Porter: Yep, look there is some right there. (As he was pointing to a white kleenex).

2 lessons I learned from this... 1 - He hear's everything I say, even if I wasn't intending him to hear it, and 2 - To him people are all good people, no matter what they wear, or how the look!

The kids did great. We stayed way later than I had planned, but they loved everything, and couldn't get enough. We went and saw the animals later in the night, and Roc was in heaven. He even learned to BAAAA like the sheep. Porter helped Trace carry a big sack up to the top of the yellow slide, and they both flew down in by themselves! The rode rides, saw cool sharks, ate snow cones, and helped at the farm.

Trace starts school!

Trace's Day has finally come! He is so excited to go to school. We have been trying to wait patiently... Counting down the days. He has watched Porter go to school for the past couple of months, and was ready to go too! His smile was as big as the moon, and all of his friends were their to play. Mayci, Monet, Mason, and Sam! I'm excited to hear how it goes.
