Thanksgiving 11-25

Happy Thanksgiving. As always we have SO much to be thankful for. A lady in our neighborhood is fighting leukimia. It's made me realize how blessed we are to be healthy. I know her list of "I'm thankful for's" has changed a lot over the past few weeks, and it has given me more reasons to think about mine. Mostly this year I'm thankful for life, and the blessing it is to be able to raise my three boys. I love them so much and feel truly lucky to be their mom. These are such fun years of their lives. They are so full of energy, and sometimes it takes all of my energy just to keep up. I'm just thankful I can! I'm also feeling gratitude for my husband and his love of life and our family. We are truly blessed! I hope our blessings keep coming, because life right now is GREAT!
This year we got to spend Thanksgiving with Chads Family. It was tasty as always. We had a full weekend full of games, food, and family. Just the way we like it. On Thanksgiving day, after eating, Steve had made a really fun treasure hunt for the kids, and then one for us big kids. It was so fun!!!

Jazz game 11/22

Porter's Jr Jazz basketball game was a blast. We went to the spaghetti factory before hand with Shayner and Pa. Shayne shares season tickets with some friends, and has GREAT seats. When we got there, we said goodbye to them, and headed for our nose bleed seats... I thought before the game, "it can't be that bad"... let me tell you. IT IS THAT BAD! I felt like I was going to fall down on to the court. My legs were tired when we finally reached that top row. After the first few minutes of the game, Shayne called and said that the seats next to them were empty, and so we got to go WAY down and sit in great seats the rest of the game. Shayne even bought Porter a little ball for a souvenir! What a fun night.

Traces Feast 11-22

Trace had his Thanksgiving feast today at school! I was in charge of the party, and as always, I had way to much planned for these poor kids. Miss Tonya had a project planned as well, and the entire time we were rushing to fit it all in... I left with a major headache, but now, looking back it was fun. We ate a traditional feast, made Indian jackets and headbands, made turkey's out of paper plates, and more turkeys out of rice crispy treats.

Barnes and Noble

Trace had a fun field trip to Barnes and Noble. He's been so excited about school, all his new friends, and his teacher! It was great being able to see him interact with them all! Too cute of kids...

They rode the bus there (they have been talking about transportation all month). Then they stopped at Carl's Jr for some fries before heading to story time.

Zions Nov 11-14

We have been hearing that angels landing in Zions National Park was going to close the end of this year... Not sure it's true now though. The park rangers didn't seem to know anything about it. When we first entered the park we ask a ranger when it was closing, and he said: "It might STILL be open". What?? It better still be open... that is the whole reason we are here. Of course it was still open and we had a great hike. Before we left we had decided that Porter was probably big enough to go up to the top, but for sure we would leave Roc and Trace with Grandma. All three of the boys did great getting to the look out point which is about 2 miles up hill. We forgot Rocs back pack, but were lucky Dusty and Kelsey had an extra and were willing to share! Once we got to the steep, scary part, we left Kelsey, Jonah, Mom, Kurt, Tasha, Trace, and Roc behind. (they were wishing at this point they didn't come at all... I guess 1.5 hours on top of a mountain with three kids isn't too much fun... Who would have known? Sorry guys :)) Dad, MarJean, Dust, Danny, Chad, Me, and PORTER, headed up the narrow trail, with steep cliffs on both sides! Yikes... what were we thinking. I'm surprised Chad survived it. I thought he might have a heart attack at any moment during the entire experience. It was pretty scary for us to have him there. Chad had him clinging to the chain at all times. But... he made it. Safe and Sound. We all loved the hike, and were proud of Porter. Having it all to do over again... Porter would have had to stayed back with the others for sure!!

After a fun day in Zions, we headed back to Steve and Janets house in St. George. The rest of our trip was spent chill'n. A little shopping, 2 great Jazz games, and on really sticky Utah game. We even got to spend a couple hours swimming! Thanks family for such great memories!

zoo 11-5

We enjoyed a 70 degree day in November at the zoo! We talked grandma and grandpa into coming with us, and as always were glad we did. Grandpa bought the kids ice cream cones, and took them on the train... (They usually can't talk me into either) I'm loving this weather!

Happy Halloween

It was a wet one this year, but it didn't seem to slow the kids down. Chad took all three of the boys out about 6:00. Roc lasted unil at least 7. Porter and Trace didn't come in until 8:30 or so. They all got too much candy, and even though they were quite wet... They had TOO much fun! Roc keeps getting into the candy and saying "Yast one". How many last ones can one kid ask for?

Last Soccer Game

BUMMER... Soccer is over for the season. Both boys did great!
