Basketball, Basketball, and MORE Basketball! 2-25

The last two days have been crazy busy full of all things PORTER. Friday he had soccer practice right after school. Then we went straight to basketball practice, then to the first game of the tournament. We won the first game allowing us to play again Saturday at 11. We won again in the Semi finals, so at 12;15 we played in the Championship game. It was a great game, but we ended up loosing. After the game Porter competed in the 3 point contest - and he did GREAT. He went 2nd, and scored 7 points. (the last ball at each point is the "money ball", worth two points, and he made two of them). No one else was even close until the very last kid who scored eight points! It was so fun.
We played in another tournament Saturday night, and won all three games. The kids were so excited to win a championship, and get a trophy! Basketball is winding down now. Only a few tournaments here and there. I'm ready for a little break... but it has been a lot of fun watching him figure things out, and gain confidence out on the court!

Presidents Cup in St. George 2/16-2/20

Porters soccer team decided to play in the Presidents Cup down in St. George this year. We can't pass up an excuse to go down south! We talked Janet and Steven and my Mom and Dad into joining us and we had a great weekend! Brett and Sarah even drove down for the last game on Monday!
Porters team won their first game against BLAST 2-1, tied the second team SPARTA 2-2, and tied the third game against MURRAY MAX 2-2. This put them in the Semi finals on Monday. We played again FORZA, and got a whoop'n. 4-0. :(. The kids played hard, and up until the last game were super aggressive! Porter scored one goal in each of the first three games!
Another highlight from this weekend trip: CHAD MADE IT UP THE CRACK for the first time... Barely fit, but made it!

Valentines 2-14

I got to help the kids classes with their Valentines parties today! I love being in their class rooms. Today was no exceptions.

Jazz Game 1-30

Brett was out of town, and had tickets to the Jazz game. He knows how much Porter loves watching the Jazz play so he gave his GREAT tickets to Chad and Porter. They had a blast together, and the Jazz won!

Swimming with PA 1-25

Grandpa Pa planned a fun swimming trip with the boys and Jonah. Jonah bailed as soon as his dad got there, so it ended up just being Pa and the boys. They love swimming, and being with pa, so this was right up their ally!

St George for New Years 12/28-1/2

HAPPY NEW YEAR!! We brought the new year in this year with some sunshine! Garners just bought a new house down south, and invited us to come stay for almost a week. Sundloffs joined us on Friday. The weather was so nice. We filled our days mostly with soccer, football, tennis, and bikes, but us girls snuck in a little shopping, and the boys squeezed in a little golf too. We even had a pic nic at the "CRACK". We can't really go to St. George with out the frog pool - so we threw that into the fun. Roc learned to cross the lily pads all by himself! It was hard to have Chad back to work today after so much time off. There is nothing more fun than getting time to play together as a family.
