Porter's Tball pictures

I'm too cheap to buy the $12 pictures this year... so here is my version.

And here are a few from last weeks game. I made Porter wait to shave his head until his first game... isn't he so cute with long hair under that baseball hat?? Grandma and Grandpa were there to Cheer Porter on, and play with Trace and Roc... As you can see - Trace and Roc don't let them watch much of the game...

Field Trip

On Monday Traces preschool went to the Fire Station for a field trip. The fire fighter that did the tour was lame, but it was still fun to see the kids together.

Storm Trooper...

This sunday we had a great Sunday dinner at Grandma and Grandpa Hansen's. After dinner we enjoyed SPRING! The weather was so nice. We played outside all night long. We jumped on the tramp, played soccer, played on the swing set, rode 4 wheelers, and met a STORM TROOPER. The kids were so excited when Amy showed up with a storm trooper straight out of star wars! Mike is a HUGE star wars fan, and has this sweet outfit to show for it.

Bluffridge 5K

Porters big 5K was today. Last year he saw the kids run by our house, and has been excited for his chance ever since. We even talked Chad, Trace and Roc into coming with us! It was so much fun to see Porter determined. (not only to finish, but to win!) He ran his little heart out. There were many times he wanted to run faster than I could! I am so proud of him. He finished 3rd in his division!! Way to go Porter.

Mrs. Syverson was at one of the drink stops. Porter had to stop to tell her hi!

After the race the kids had hamburgers, chips, pop, and a cookie for dinner. Trace didn't eat anything so Chad got lucky and had his dinner. Guess next year I will know better than to leave Chad out!

After dinner we went to the carnival, where the kids got to play everything they wanted... They wanted to do it all! Porter won a gold fish, and they both won lots of toys and treats. We even ran into Porters new teacher for next year... Mrs. Edwards. Porter was so excited, and she was so nice to him. I think we are in for another awesome year. (that is, if I let him go to 1st grade. I'm still trying to talk him into staying in kindergarten one more year.)

Trace's preschool program

Today was Trace's Preschool Program. He did such a great job. They sang a few songs, and then watched a video of pictures through out the year. Holy cow, this kids is growing up way too fast! It was fun to see him with all his friends. I must admit, I'm ready for summer break! Only a few more weeks and we are school free. (for a month anyway... Porter is on C track next year, and will be starting back to school the middle of July :()

Miss Sarah and Trace. We will miss her, she has bee so great with the kids!

Happy Mothers Day

We had a great Mothers day weekend! My whole family came to watch Porters soccer game on Saturday. (One of which we got KILLED in... that other team was awesome!) Then after soccer we went to Cracker Barrel for breakfast. Some how I missed my mom in all these pictures, weird since it was Mother's Day. Sunday my mom and dad got to leave for the Cayman Island, LUCKY! Sunday we celebrated with Chads family, and I didn't even bring the camera. I'm not doing very good.
I know both my moms know how much I love them, but for the record - THEY ARE SO WONDERFUL. Happy Mom's Day.

Porter woke up early to give me a whole collection of mothers day gifts... My favorite being this necklace. He also got all the kids stuff out and ready for church... what a cool kid. Chad got me a couple of new dresses, but they didn't make in time for church. The good news is - there is always next week! I love mothers day. Thanks my favorite 4 boys for making this mothers day special!

Cinco De Mayo

Sometimes we look for reasons to play... This week was one of those weeks! We decided it would be fun to get together and eat some good MEXICAN food. Sarah, Tiff, and I made all kinds of yummy food for our fiesta. Sarah brought yummy guacamole, Tiff made some Taquitos, and I made fajitas. Our fiesta was complete with these:

MIAMI VICE'S!!

(Berto was Brett's name for the night... too bad he was home sick :))

The kids would not let us forget the pinata! Hunter finally destroyed the pinata... and most of the candy inside of it for that matter. (why do they make them so hard to brake open??)

We even played a little Bingo. The kids all won their own cactus.

BINGO!!

Take note: Trace was wearing a winter coat while having a water fight with all the kids. -Yes it was cold, and -yes my kids are crazy!

Happy Cinco De Mayo
