Utah Elite

Porter has been playing on a basketball team, and has been getting a little frustrated. It's a third grade team, and he hasn't had too much playing time. The team played in the holiday tournament after Christmas, and Porter tore it UP. I think his basketball game just needed a little confidence, because he is a different kid on the court now! It was fun to watch him play so hard.

Merry Christmas

Christmas is MAGIC. I can't believe how much fun can be smashed into one month! My kids were so fun this year, and so excited about everything. I have to say that I am sad it's over. January is long, cold, and pretty uneventful around our house. I guess I should work on changing that :)...
Christmas morning was a huge hit. Santa brought the kids a TRAMP, ds games, wii games, and a whole lot of toys. We gave Porter a bike, Trace a 3ds, and Roc new skis. Chad has taken after his Dad this time of year, and totally goes crazy! He spoiled me with all kinds of great things. One of my favorite is my new blender... a BLEND TECH!
After our morning with our family we went to church then headed out the door for more Christmas fun. First to Hansen's. Steve let us all pick out our own ART this year. Everyone was surprised to see what everyone else had picked out. We got to beautiful pieces for our basement. We also got new folding chairs! The kids got a bunch of fun toys too!
Next it was off to the Garners for dinner and more presents! Mom and Dad kept the broadway tradition alive this year with tickets to WICKED. I seriously can't wait. The kids got a new karaoke machine, and can't wait for mom and dad to get it out and start playing with it!

Christmas Eve 12-24

IT'S FINALLY HERE!!

We are so excited we can hardly sleep... especially me! This year we spent Christmas eve with Chads family. We had a yummy steak dinner, acted out the nativity, had a neat thought on our savior from Steve, sang a few Christmas songs, the kids showed off a few talents, and then we played a few games. We got home in decent time so we could leave Santa cookies and diet coke. My mom and Dad came over right as we were getting in bed, and helped getting everything just right for old saint nick!

Shawn and Amy 12-23

Amy and the kids flew in the 15th. Shawn flew in the 21st. Let's just say one thing.... "The Hansens like a late night game!" Ever since the whole family has been together it has been one late night after another!

Willards invited us over for some pre Christmas fun... GINGERBREAD HOUSES!

Temple square 12-19

Tiff and Jolley are finally back for Christmas. My kids have been so excited to get to play with Logan, Grace, and Charlie again. For family night we got to together with the Sundloffs and the Garners for what I hope to be a new family tradition... TEMPLE SQUARE.
We started at Crown Burger for a yummy dinner, and a place to park. We walked up to the temple, and enjoyed all the beauty this special place has to offer! It was just another great memory we can add to all the fun things our families get to do together. We are so grateful for both of these families in our lives!

Layton Lights 12-12

We've been wanting to get the Hansen's together for a Christmas party, but everyone's schedules are TIGHT!
We decided we wanted to go to Layton lights for family night, and invited everyone to come too! It was a fun way to get into the holiday spirit.
After lights we ended up at Krispy Kreme's for donuts and hot chocolate!

Moms Italian Christmas Party 12-18

As always, Mom threw a super fun party this year. We celebrated Christmas Italian style! From pasta for dinner to Italian cream sodas. We even learned about La Bafana. Santa made is annual stop, but this time brought La bafana with him. The kids loved being with Jonah, and all the family! I'm loving this holiday season... Everything seems to be just right!

Happy Thanksgiving 11/24

We got to spend Thanksgiving with the Garner bunch this year. Everyone went to my Moms and Dads for a full feast! Chad, Dad, Dusty and Danny all played tennis before dinner. I love this time of year. It's a perfect time to reflect on all we have. As always my list is long, and starts with my biggest blessing of all:
FAMILY(Chad, Porter, Trace, and Roc, My mom and dad, Steve and Janet, our grandparents, all of our siblings and spouses, and nieces and nephews.) Every year we grow and I can't imagine my life without all these amazing people!

Twilight New Moon

My friend rented out a theater so we could watch the new twilight movie earlier than everyone else. It was so fun to have a girls night out, and to not have to stay up until midnight to see it. The show was fun, but not nearly as fun as the other ones have been. I guess we will have to wait until next year to see if the second half will be better!

Trace's Program 11-17

Tonight was Traces Kindergarten program. He was darling. He knew all the songs, and was singing and dancing all night! When his teacher asked him what his favorite thing to do with his family was? Trace said, "When we go to sea world".

Porters Baptism 11-5

Today was a special day. Porter chose to be Baptized! Everything went as just as planned. We are so proud of him for the choices he is making in his life, especially this one. He is growing up too fast! Porter asked Grandpa Hansen to give a talk on Baptism, and then Porter, Trace, Roc, Preslie, Mayci, and Beckem all sang "I am Ready". The spirit was so strong, and I know Porter was able to feel his Heavenly Fathers love for him. It really was a special day for all of us...
