Coach Pitch baseball 5-29

And as if soccer and football aren't enough - Trace decided he wanted to play baseball again this year. Add that into the schedule twice a week...

Weenie Roast 5-21

We have been trying to find a night to do a hot dog roast for the past EVER... I can't believe how little time we have left after all the kids activities. Tonight for family night we invited a few of our besties over for some camp fire fun. It was too hot to sit by the fire, but the kids still managed to burn a few hot dogs, marshmallows, and even a few starbursts.

Solar Eclipse 5-20

We saw the solar eclipse tonight. The kids were only interested for about 2 seconds... but us adults got a kick out of it. Chad set up his scope which worked great, but after laughing at everyone for having special glasses, or even better a huge box on their heads... we realized that we could see it perfectly through a frisbee. :)After the excited was over we played a little boche ball, ate yummy treats, and did sparklers.

Trace and Porters AYSO 5-19

Another year of AYSO has come and gone.  Saturdays just wont be the same without 3 soccer games, and a football game!  I'm ready for a breath of free time!  Trace has turned into a little stud on the field, and Porter loved playing U10!

Mothers Day 5-13

I kind of have to admit... I HAVE THE COOLEST FAMILY EVER.  My mothers day was the best this year.  Chad and the kids spoiled me all day.  We invited my Mom and Dad, and Dusty, Kelsey, and Jonah over for breakfast.  It was yummy, and so funny to see everyone before church.  After church we headed up to Cory and Maria's for dinner.  I feel so blessed to have such and wonderful Mom and MIL!  Happy Mothers day!

Time for a hair cut?? 5/13

Swarm Football 5-12

Porter has been BUSY with a full schedule of sports.  Finishing up basketball (with a bang - his team did great in the state tourney... finishing 3rd), Soccer, and the new addition... INDOOR TACKLE FOOTBALL.  It's been a little adjustment for Porter.  He plays with kids from 7-11.  There are a few kids on his team that are WAY bigger then him.  He was pretty timid at first, but is becoming more confident, and really starting to like it.  He has had to miss quite a few practices, and so he doesn't get too much play time... but, he does get to be the punter!  After the game the kids got to give all their moms a rose.  I loved the rose, but more than that, I love my Porter!!

Pinewood Derby 5-10

I have the GRAND opportunity to be the pack master in my ward:).  No really, it's not grand.  But it really isn't bad either...  Except for the couple of big activities, it's pretty easy.  We did our Pinewood Derby this year, so I've been busy planning.  So busy planning that we kind of forgot about Porters car.  Him and Chad attempted to make a hulk fist.  Cool idea, but we ran out of time.  It didn't look that cool, and it certainly wasn't very fast.  Porter was bummed, but overall it was a fun night for everyone!

Bluffridge 5k 5-4

Porter told me he didn't want to run the 5k this year.  I was relieved, since last year he wore me right out, and this year I can hardly walk let alone run.  We went back to track on Thursday, and race day was Friday.  Guess who changed his mind... Yep - Porter.  He came home Thursday and said he could still sign up.  I ran over the school and signed him up, but told him he was going to have to do it himself :).  Race day came, and Trace decided he better do it too.  Both of them did great.  Trace ended up with Mike and Mason...  Porter beat his last years time, running the whole thing in about 26min, and 30 seconds!  Yep, I'm feeling pretty good using the pregnancy card on this one!!

Disneyland!! 4/27-5/2

DISNEYLAND!!

Seriously soooo fun.  I've been trying to talk Chad into a Disney trip for - I don't even know how long now... and i finally got my trip.  It's not that he doesn't like to go on a vacation here or there (but he travels all the time with work, so the thought of staying home does appeal to him more than leaving!), but he did argue that the kids would have as much fun in St. George, or camping some where... it would be way CHEAPER!  He might be right with Porter, but not for me and Trace.  (And honestly not for anyone else either, but it is easy to say that Trace thought the entire trip was pure magic!)
We had a fun surprise Tuesday before we left - Cory, Maria and Audrey decided last minute to join us!!  We were so glad to have more friends to share all these fun memories with!
We spent the first two days in San Diego.  Beach, Ruby's diner ( a little diner at the very end of the pier.  There was tons of people fishing, and one guy caught a sting ray!), Mormon Battalion, and of course SEA WORLD!
The next four days were spent at the happiest place on earth!  Disneyland...
Everything was perfect.  We were able to beat the crowds every where we went... except for "world of color".  We used fast passes all day long, and were able to get a few special passes that we used for toy story mania... twice!  The only rides we waited in line at all for were the silly little kids rides.  Roc was even able to ride almost everything!  (he was about 1/4 of an inch short of being tall enough, so Chad rolled an extra sock up and put it in his shoe...:))
The kids all loved every ride but the favorites are still CALIFORNIA SCREAMER, and THUNDER MOUNTAIN.  Roc says his favorite was winnie the pooh.  I think Tower of terror, and splash mountain were on the top of the list too!
In between all the fun at the two parks we even snuck in a little swimming and nap time at the hotel.  It doesn't get any better than hanging out with my kids and hubby for almost a week with no interruptions!!
