Dad Bday getaway

Happy Birthday to my DAD! Best Dad in the whole world - hands down! For his birthday he invited us all up to a Condo by Powder Mountain that he had rented. It was such a nice place, and we all had so much fun. Friday morning the kids and I packed up and headed out so we could have as much time as possible away from home. We went up night skiing that night, and I spent the first half of the night helping Trace on the little tow rope. By the time Chad made it up after work, Trace was doing pretty good... It didn't take more than one run with his dad to have it all figured out! After awhile it got pretty snowy again, so my dad took the boys back to the condo. Chad and I stayed a little longer and skied until we couldn't see anything in front of us. We had decided that we probably were not going to try to ski Saturday because it was suppose to be snowing again. When we woke up Saturday morning it was BEAUTIFUL. Probably the best ski weather I have ever seen. So we headed back up the mountain with Porter and Keaton. It was AWESOME.
We took Trace back up for a few more runs down the little hill the next day, and again he did great. Next time he goes he will be up to the top!

Roc even got a few run in!

Keaton decided he was hot, so he took off his coat. It wasn't two minutes later when I noticed Porter had taken his off too. Porter thinks his big cousins are the best, and anything they do, must be cool!

What could be better than a day of skiing the best snow on earth?? Being able to enjoy a hot tub after it!! Chad dared the boys to make snow angels in the snow in their swim suits... guess what? They did it. We could hardly keep them in the hot tub. Even Trace and Roc had to get in on the fun. Goof balls.
What would a fun family trip be with out cards and video games? Not much, so we made plenty of time for that too. We even watched movies in the theater room, and ate lots of great food!

Cheers to another Garner Gang Vacation, and hopes to another fun ski trip~

Roc says funny things all the time - Constantly. While we were there he continued the tradition.
*After dropping a plate on the floor full of food - "I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry" (in a really sincere voice, as if I could get mad at him after that!)
*My dad told him not to slam the cupboard doors. Roc said "I'm gonna"... at least he is honest??
*For some reason he can not grasp that skiing is not called skating. He told me that since he pooped in the toilet, he was big enough to got skating. On the way up the mountain we ask him if he wanted to go skiing, and he said, "I want to go skatting." Chad said no, say skiing. He again said skating. So Chad said say SKI, to which he said SKATE. What's the deal kid?

First Ski Trip 2-22

We decided we better take the kids up for a couple hours of skiing before the BIG ski trip this weekend... Didn't really go as planned -
The main idea was to help Trace get a feel for it. It was a last minute idea, because it was such a pretty day. When we got there it was a blizzard, and Trace didn't even want to get out of the car. Trace, Roc, and I just hung out in the lodge most of the night. After a few runs, Porter and Chad came back into the lodge too. Trace went up the mountain with Chad for one quick run, but was carried 90% of the way down :(. Not really what I had in mind.

Happy Valentines Day! 2-14

We had another great Valentines this year. Chad and I went out to Teppanyaki's over the weekend. We were planning to have another family over on Valentines, but Roc woke up from his nap with a fever... so instead we headed out to Ligori's for some pizza.
Porter's class celebrated Valentines before they went off track, but Porter had to miss it because we were in St. George. He brought his Valentines for his class the day before. Preslie picked his Valentines up for him, and he was excited to get home and see all of them. Trace's class had a fun Valentines day party too. He is loving school, and learning so much!
Happy Valentines.

Hot Chocolate stand 2-10

Porter is off track and as tradition has it - we have to have a sell while he is off track! He thought since it is so COLD outside we should sell Hot Chocolate. We made some valentines cookies, and made a thermos of hot chocolate and hit the street! It was a success, and they ended up making over $10!

Wow - time flies when you are getting OLD! All I can say babe, is you are getting better with age. I love you more each year. You are the best Husband and Daddy, and we love you!

Maria was so nice to keep the kids while Chad and I went out. We dropped the boys off at their house and then headed up to Taggarts for dinner. YUMMY. Thanks Mer.

First St. George trip of the year 2-4

We headed down to St. George for our first weekend getaway. We invited three other families to stay with us, and at first I was worried sick that there were going to be to many people in one place... but as it turned out - it was perfect, and so much fun!! The kids loved having so many friends around all the time. The weather was nice, so we were able to be out and about all day long, and the kids were exhausted by the time we got home at night. It's just fun to be away from home, in sunny St. George!
