Rock Out...

We had a Rock Star Party for Roc's Birthday. We had everyone come over for a fun night of rock and roll.
My mom gave him this great guitar and shirt, SO... ( I couldn't help myself.)

Fat Cats

We have had these discount passes to Fat Cats for a little while, and the kids have been begging to go... so we decided Roc's Birthday was a great excuse! Cory and Audrey joined us for a fun night of pizza, bowling, and balloons.

Happy Birthday Roc!

OH.MY.GOSH - Roc is TWO! We are celebrating tomorrow with our families... but here are his 2 year old pictures.

Roc at 2 is:
· 27 lbs (almost 50% for his age)
· Talking lots. He is so funny, and always has something to say. Some of our favorites right now are:
-Roc: knock, knock. Us: Who’s there? Roc: (shaking his head no) cry about it, Joke! (doesn’t bother with the middle part.
-always tells Porter good bye and “I wove you” when he leaves for school.
-When he wakes up in the morning he yells from his bed for me to come get him. When I get there he hides under his covers and laughs. Then tells me “I sleep good”, and “good morning”.
-All time favorite words are “I do it”. I hear this at least 20 times everyday.
· He is ready to go potty in the toilet, and is constantly telling us he needs to poop, and then laughs and says “I tooted”.
· He loves to read books. He would listen to story after story when it is time for bed, but won’t sit and look at a book for more than ½ a second in sacrament meeting.
· Loves to sing songs with me, and is learning: I am a child of God, popcorn popping, how much is that Doggie, 5 monkeys swinging in a tree, twinkle little star, sunbeam, you are my sunshine, and his ABC’s.
· Counts to 5 perfectly, and 10 imperfectly :)
· Loves to be around his friends – especially Beckam
· He still loves to cuddle, and gives great hugs and kisses
· Dances with the best of them every time he hears any music with a beat
· Loves his brothers and his Daddy – but his Mommy is the COOLEST :)
· Even though he just turned two, he thinks he is every bit as big as his two brothers, and is willing to prove it by jumping off anything or climbing anything they do.

Utah State Fair

This year we almost missed our chance to go to the state fair. Last minute Friday afternoon we decided to take off and spend a couple hours there. The kids fished, road ponnies, did helping on the farm, rode the yellow slide, and saw lots of animals.

Flag football

Oh boy... this is going to be fun. The game started with Jaxson playing QB ad Porter playing wide receiver. The first play of the game Jaxson ran a sweep play, and ended up smoking everyone to the endzone. Next offensive play Jaxson throws a long pass to Porter, which Porter catches and smokes everyone into the endzone for another touch down!! Porter had a bunch of sweet "tackles", and almost intercepted the ball twice. See why this could be fun? I'm loving it already.
One of two near interceptions for Porter...

They can't use their hands or arms to block - See he can hear, and he does listen... just not to me!

As if Grandpa Hansen hasn't sat and watched enough football games in his life - we keep adding more!! One of Porters biggest fans!

set... HIKE!

Preschool

Trace started another year of preschool. This year we are lucky enough to get Mrs. Tonya for his teacher. Porter had her for his last year of preschool, and learned soooo much from her. We are hoping for another fantastic year. The first day of school Trace came home and said that he had fun, but that she didn't teach him to read. Patience son... Patience!

Traces good frineds... Sydney, Mayci, and Mason. Sam and Monet are in his class too, but weren't out front when we got there! This is going to be such a fun year!
