Tiff's Swim Party

Tonight we had another great swim party at Sundloff's. My kids had a blast swimming, eating pizza, eating ice cream cones, and breaking a pineata.

It's Soccer Time...

I love Porter's Soccer. It is so much fun watching him play! He started a new season today. This year he is playing a year older, and everything has changed. The field is way bigger, the kids are way bigger (and better), they play 5 on 5, and the games last the whole hour instead of 30 min! Porter did great, but his team lost... BADLY. Hopefully next week will be better. It might take Porter some "getting use to", to not be able to score as many goals as he wants.

Mmmmm.... SUGAR??

Here is Roc's newest mess. The other day I heard Roc smacking his lips, and wondered what he had found. I wasn't too worried about it at first, but then I heard it again. The second time I decided I better go see what he was up to. He had taken the lid off my huge thing of sugar, and was eating handfuls of it. He had it ALL over him, and everything else. WHAT A TREAT! So we had to have a bath after that trick! This is just one of the many things he is getting into these days...

Roc can Walk!

I just took Roc in for his 9 month check up. I know I'm way late since he is now 11 months. I was scared to take him in because of the swine flu. So we finally decided it would be okay. He weighs 20 lbs 13 oz... Now, you aren't going to believe that my super CHUNKY baby is only in the 40% for his weight. I guess his chub is just extra light?? He is only about 50% for height, so shorter than both the other boys at this age. He is so much fun. He is full of personality. We all love having him around. He is making all kinds of sounds, and is always gabbing. He eats everything!! My mom and I were talking about his 1st birthday party, and what he loves. The best thing I could think of was FOOD. The kid could out eat Trace every day of the week, and some times even Porter! He only has three teeth, but it doesn't slow him down. He can gum anything. He is always smiling and laughing. He wants to be in the middle of whatever the boys are doing, and can't stop watching them. And... He has started walking!! He is still really unstable, but can walk across the room at times. He still crawls much faster, and so he usually chooses to do so. But he is starting to take more and more steps... Before long he will be walking all over!

I'm adding a few more pictures for my book...

Check out these thighs!!

And this make me laugh, because it would be a safer world if he would wear this these days... I'm telling you what: This kid is BUSY!

Raging Waters

My dad took all the kids to Raging Waters today. It was so much fun. Uncle Danny came to play too. Again my kids were in Heaven. Water, Sun, and the Big boys... It doesn't get any better!! Porter rode everything except the big sled one, and loved them all. Trace couldn't ride most of the slides, but loved all the kids stuff. Raging Waters is just like I remember as a kid. Not much has changed, even the water is as freezing as I remember! My dad was so cute with the kids. If you didn't know better, you would think he was 20. He did everything the kids wanted to, and kept up with them all day. What a cool Gramps.

Davis County Fair

While Chad was hunting this past weekend (no elk yet by the way :( ), the kids and I decided it would be fun to go to the "Little" fair. (We say little fair, because they have been so excited for the State Fair, which isn't until next month.) My mom and dad came with us, and we had a great day. Little Roc loves going in his stroller so he was easy and Porter and Trace loved just being outside with Grandma and Grandpa. We saw bunnies and chickens, lots of crafts, and great vegetables! Trace loved riding the ponies, but Porter says it was too boring! They both had fun on the little carnival rides.

There was an big ARMY exhibit. One of the things to do was train like a Cadet. If you could do 60 push ups for guys, or 30 for girls, you would get a hat. Porter wanted to do it, so the nice girl said "go ahead and try". You were suppose to be 16, and I'm sure she was thinking, YEAH RIGHT KID... So Porter started into his push ups. The kid whipped 60 out like it was nothing. Yep, you read right, he did 60 push ups. He got his hat. Then Trace wanted one too, so I did my push ups for him. Too bad Dad wasn't there to show off his push ups too!!

On our way out, there was another sport exhibit. Porter and Trace threw baseballs and footballs, did a high jump, shot some baskets, and last of all Porter did 61 more push ups. He set the record for 6 and under. Before him the record was 34. The kid can do push ups!

Introducing...

My newest nephew:

JONAH GREGORY GARNER

6 lb 8 oz

19 inches long

Born August 13th

Oh wow! This is so exciting. I can't believe Dusty is a DAD! Jonah is so beautiful, and i am so excited to have him here safe and sound. Good job Dust and Kelsey. We are so happy and excited for you both. They are going to be the cutest parents.

Isn't he so cute?? I love him already!

Snow bird

Chads work had a fun family party up at Snow Bird. We had unlimited use of all the fun stuff up there. We spent a lot of time on the alpine slides. It was lots of fun, until I took Roc down it (way too fast), and fell off my sled. I scrapped my arm up pretty good, but luckily Roc was fine. Chad was so mad at me, and I guess he had good reason. It was pretty irresponsible to fly down it holding my baby! We also went on the lift up to the tunnel. Everything was so green and so pretty. It was a fun night.

Red Rocks

Also known as Kanab... My extended family is from Kanab, and every other year we head down for the Glover family reunion. This year was a little different because Chad got to spend most of the weekend scouting the area for his BIG HUNT! (it starts next weekend... Keep sending positive vibes his way.) We got to see some of the prettiest mountains, and lots of animals. As we were driving there we took a short detour (three hours), through his area. Porter spotted the first group of antelope. He was so excited, his voice gets really loud when he is excited... He yelled "Look, dad, look. Those are the first Antelope I have ever seen!" We saw many more antelope. The first day we saw 4 big bucks too. The biggest bucks I've ever seen in person. They are still in the velvet, and were so fun to watch. They were right by the side of the road, and didn't seem to be too worried about us being there watching them.
At the reunion we started to re acquainted with all of the cousins. It's a fun family reunion, and everyone is so nice. Chad loves it, because all of the guys love to hunt, and know the area like the back of their hands. They spent lots of time helping him know where to be next weekend. One of them even took him out spot lighting Saturday night. It's so fun to see him so excited. He was like a little kid in the candy store. Giddy as a school boy!
On our way home we took another short detour (another 3 hours... I wasn't too happy about it, I should be learning my lesson, but I'm not.) The good news is we saw more fun animals. More big bucks, and a badger. Another first for Porter, and for me on on this one. In all Chad saw 27 bucks, 24 of which were 4 points or bigger, and 25 of them were right off the side of the road. What a great Mule deer Mountain!
Going to the reunion always makes me miss my sweet Grandma Bead. She was such a perfect Grandma. I know us being, and LOVING being in Kanab makes her smile. The kids think "Red Rocks" is one of the coolest places in the world. It's good for them to see the Grave sight, and for us to get to tell them how great she was, and how much she would love them!

Grandma's Family... We might not be the biggest of the families, but we sure are a lot of fun!!

Kurt and MarJean are so cute with all of the boys... I think they are ready to be Grandma and Grandpa!

Bee's Baseball

We decided to go to the bee's game last night. It was really windy on our way there, but the wind slowed down, and the weather was very pleasant. We had a great time, but I'm pretty sure the highlight of the game was the snow cone and the nachos... Go figure. We had great seats, first row, right by third base. We were hoping to catch a foul ball, but didn't get the chance. (I told Porter that he needed to bring his mitt so he could try to catch a spare ball. He corrected me quickly with: "you mean a foul ball, Mom??")

Lake Tahoe

Oh, how I love this place!! We have gone almost every year since I was little, and every time I am there I remember all of the fun things we have been able to do as a family. Since Chad and I have been married we have gone a few more times! Each one is full of fun. This year we DROVE :(. Let's just start by saying that 9 hours in the car is too long. Thank goodness for Kelsey's DS and the DVD player. We didn't leave until after school on Wednesday, so it was after 1:00 AM when we got there. I wasn't sure it was worth the drive, but as soon as a stepped out of the car, and smelled that fresh mountain air, I knew it was going to be well worth it! We spent our few days doing all my favorites.

Brady and Marjean came to stay for the weekend too. Brady taught us how to play Frisbee golf. We all enjoyed the course the first day, but the next time just the guys went.

We always do a little hiking.
This year we did my favorite. Cascade falls. It is an easy hike to a beautiful waterfall. This year we were later in the summer than usual, so the falls had much less water. It was fun this way, because we played and clambered all through it! The boys all did great. Chad carried Roc the entire time, and toward the end had to add Trace to his shoulders. Porter did great the whole time, but we added him to Chads back just for fun. What a cute bunch a boys. The lake is called Cascade Lake... It's privately owned!! How would that be??

Porter (aka: Lion)

Roc just "HANG'N" out!

Playing in the Lake and on the beach.

We enjoy beautiful sunsets!!

Snorkeling and looking for crawdads.
This year Chad built a great trap with a garbage can, and we caught lots of the little things.
Playing games.
We played a lot of Nerts this trip. Always seems to be a different one, but always lots of games!
And of course the kids played a lot of DS.

A little 31??

One of the best parts of going to Lake Tahoe is the chance to relax. I love to fit in as much as possible into everyday, but I sure love my relaxing! We spend lots of time reading, naping, watching movies, and just visiting.

My kids have so much fun playing with Grandma and Grandpa. Chad and I love being on vacations with them to. We get lots of help. My dad would wake up early with Roc and take him for breakfast down by the lake. We are spoiled, and so are the boys! After a great weekend, my mom and dad flew home with Broc, and the rest of us loaded back up for a yucky drive.

What a great trip! We missed you Dust and Kelsey, and Danny and Tash.
