Dad Bday getaway

Happy Birthday to my DAD! Best Dad in the whole world - hands down! For his birthday he invited us all up to a Condo by Powder Mountain that he had rented. It was such a nice place, and we all had so much fun. Friday morning the kids and I packed up and headed out so we could have as much time as possible away from home. We went up night skiing that night, and I spent the first half of the night helping Trace on the little tow rope. By the time Chad made it up after work, Trace was doing pretty good... It didn't take more than one run with his dad to have it all figured out! After awhile it got pretty snowy again, so my dad took the boys back to the condo. Chad and I stayed a little longer and skied until we couldn't see anything in front of us. We had decided that we probably were not going to try to ski Saturday because it was suppose to be snowing again. When we woke up Saturday morning it was BEAUTIFUL. Probably the best ski weather I have ever seen. So we headed back up the mountain with Porter and Keaton. It was AWESOME.
We took Trace back up for a few more runs down the little hill the next day, and again he did great. Next time he goes he will be up to the top!

Roc even got a few run in!

Keaton decided he was hot, so he took off his coat. It wasn't two minutes later when I noticed Porter had taken his off too. Porter thinks his big cousins are the best, and anything they do, must be cool!

What could be better than a day of skiing the best snow on earth?? Being able to enjoy a hot tub after it!! Chad dared the boys to make snow angels in the snow in their swim suits... guess what? They did it. We could hardly keep them in the hot tub. Even Trace and Roc had to get in on the fun. Goof balls.
What would a fun family trip be with out cards and video games? Not much, so we made plenty of time for that too. We even watched movies in the theater room, and ate lots of great food!

Cheers to another Garner Gang Vacation, and hopes to another fun ski trip~

Roc says funny things all the time - Constantly. While we were there he continued the tradition.
*After dropping a plate on the floor full of food - "I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry" (in a really sincere voice, as if I could get mad at him after that!)
*My dad told him not to slam the cupboard doors. Roc said "I'm gonna"... at least he is honest??
*For some reason he can not grasp that skiing is not called skating. He told me that since he pooped in the toilet, he was big enough to got skating. On the way up the mountain we ask him if he wanted to go skiing, and he said, "I want to go skatting." Chad said no, say skiing. He again said skating. So Chad said say SKI, to which he said SKATE. What's the deal kid?
