Chad's 30!

Chad's big day finally arrived. Another year has come and gone... and now he's 30! Our 30days of Birthday was so fun, and although relieved, I'm sad it's over. This weekend we celebrated with all of our favorite people.
Sunday we had a Birthday Party/Superbowl party with Chads family. I made soup for dinner, but we ate that as quick as we could so that we could move on to the GOOD stuff. I love the Superbowl, because of all the good treats. This year we decided to do fondue. Cory made a really yummy cheese and brought all the yummy dippers (breads, pretzels, veggies, and apples). I made Italian Nachos. Janet and Alissa brought all the YUMMY things we could dip in the Chocolate Fountain (orange cake, rice krispy treats, apples, bananas, strawberries, pretzels, marshmallows, wafers, Carmel's, cinnamon bears, and gummy bears). Janet and Steve also brought some beers (IBC root beers :)). I think everything turned out great.

After everyone had left I put the rest of the chocolate in a little bowl and left it on the table to set back up...
This is how I found Roc a few minutes later. I think he was in heaven, and luckly he didn't make himself sick. We quickly got him in the sink to get all cleaned up. Lucky kid!

Monday was the big surprise birthday party I've been planning for "too long". I invited 30 of Chads best friends to come to dinner with us at the Olive Garden. I thought it was going to be hard to get 30 people to commit to a Monday night get together... But everyone was so nice, and made me feel like it was easy! On Monday afternoon I called Chad and told him that my mom had called and said she had a gift certificate to the Olive Garden that they weren't going to use, and that if we wanted to go to dinner for chads Birthday she would keep the kids. Chad obviously said that would be great... So I met him at my mom's and Dad's to drop the boys off, and we headed right over to dinner. All 30 of our friends were there and ready for us. Marla helped me all day get things ready, and in true Marla fashion, everything looked great. After dinner we had cupcakes and sang happy birthday. It is so great to have such good friends. Hooray for turning 30!
