Grandparents Day at School

Today was Grandparent day at Porters school. I saw the flier last week, but threw it away because it said grandparents were invited to come during lunch... Since Porter doesn't eat lunch at school, I figured it wasn't for the Kindergarten kids. I was wrong. Porter asked today if his grandma's and grandpa's were coming to his school. I hurried and called my mom and Janet to see if they could swing it... and guess what?? Surprise, surprise - they both pulled it off. Got to love such great grandma's!! Grandma Hansen had Audrey, so Porter got to eat lunch with her too. Even Grandpa Hansen stopped by to say hi. Porter loved it. He ate his pizza, Audrey's pizza, and my moms chicken sandwich. Don't know if they are going to be able to keep enough food around for the kids next year.

It's Soccer time

Today was a perfect spring soccer day. Warm(er), sunny, afternoon game, and Porter played so good! He scored 4 or 5 goals, and his team won! Let's hope the weather stays nice for the rest of his games...

Easter Sunday

What a treat it was to have Easter be on conference weekend. It was perfect and so renewing to get to hear our prophets talk and bare testimony of our Savior. Makes me want to be a better wife, mom, sister, daughter, and friend. What neat leaders we have. They all have such strong testimonies, and are wonderful teachers. I am proud to be a member of this church, and excited to celebrate His life, Resurrection and the atonement this Easter day.

The kids woke up to find that the Easter bunny had been to our house! He left a note, that said he had heard that Porter knew how to read, so Porter had to read the clues this year... he is doing so good. He read them great, and the boys had no problem keeping up with that Easter Bunnies clues. He left a couple of big eggs full of little eggs... he took them outside, to the bathroom, down stairs, and all around the house looking for their baskets. They found them outside in the garage.

After conference we headed over to Grandma's Easter Bunny Hip Hop party. The boys had to hip hop for their first clue. As usual my mom and dad had planned a super fun scavenger hunt for the boys. They played basketball, football, did puzzles, and even played a little 31. Their finally baskets had these cool guns, cute shirts, and lots of treats and money for their banks.

After dinner we did a little egg bowling. Trace won the pot, but was nice and shared it with Porter.

Basketball

This year Porter got to start basketball. Don't mess up and ask him if he is playing Jr. Jazz though. He knows he isn't old enough for that yet. It's called Itty Bitty Hoops! He is figuring the game out pretty good!
