Our neighbors had a swim teacher come to their pool and teach a few of the kids swim lessons! It was perfect for both boys, and they are swimming even better then they were before the lessons. We love being in the water!
I've been busy helping with the Miss Syracuse Pageant again this year... Every year I get over whelmed by it, and think I won't do it again next year. But after the pageant is over I realize how much I enjoy it, and re commit to another year. Marla isn't going to be the director next year, so I'm not sure what I'll do next year, but this year was another great Pageant!
YAY... Amy and the kids are here for a couple of weeks! We have had a fun filled Cousin weekend. Starting with pictures - everyone's favorite!
Friday night we had a hotdog roast and then slept out under the stars. Saturday we had a fun water party with all Chads Cousins.
Sunday was Kenny's Birthday!! Amy had all the dads dress up as villians, and the kids got to attack them with silly string. Roc was terrified of his daddy!
It is finally safe to take all the sand bags and hay down at the cabin!! The boys were all going up to help, so we decided to take the kids up to "help", and to have a picnic. The water is still running really high, fast, and muddy - but we stayed on high watch of the kids and had a blast. Porter learned how to catch humming birds, and cant stop talking about it!! Ted told him a red hat is the trick - he loved it so much that uncle ted gave him the hat!
We decided to ride our bikes to the parade again this year - SO FUN. It works so perfectly, and the parade is lots of fun! Alvord's came with us this year, and made it even that much more fun. Trace rode his bike the entire time, and didn't even complain that he was tired until we were riding back into our neighborhood. The kids all got WAY too much candy, but I hope we get to keep this tradition around for many years!
Girls trips are the best! I got to go for a super quick drive to St. George with 5 of the coolest girls! We headed out Wednesday afternoon, hit the mall for a few hours in Provo, and then headed the rest of the way down South. It only took us 9 hours :). We shopped some more Friday morning/afternoon, then hung out by the pool for a couple hours. Saturday night we went to Tuacan for some GREASE LIGHTING!! So fun! Friday morning packed our bags and headed home. Fast, but fun!
In between all the partying, Trace got to spend some quality one on one time with Grandpa Pa, and Grandma Vicki! Trace has been waiting and waiting for his S.P.A.A. invite to show up in the mail. One night after baseball he remember that we hadn't got the mail that day. We hurried out to the mail box, and guess what? His package had arrived! Trace o Saurus was ready to pack his bags and head out that night. He was sad he had to wait 10 sleeps, but had fun counting each one down each morning! As soon as his party was over Friday afternoon we headed over to Grandma's. She had everything ready for a dinosaur adventure!
Porter let Trace and Roc come on a part of his spaa, so Trace invited Porter and Roc to the dinosaur park Saturday morning. It's always fun to be with the bros!
Seriously - COOLEST MOM/GRANDMA - ever! Love you so much mom. My kids are so lucky to have such a fun Grandma!
In the traditions of all week birthday parties... Friday Trace had a friend party with all his buds from the neighborhood.
Sunday we had the family over for another Surfer party. The adults got involved in the water fight, and the kids loved it!!
Monday night we had more family friends over for a little more surfing fun. Garner's, Sundloff's, Barnes', and Larson's all came for dinner and more water balloon and squirt gun fights.
Everything ended up so fun. I love planning a party!
