Soccer

What a busy Saturday we had. Chad is always telling me that I over book us, and this time he was right. Our fun day started with Porter's Soccer! This is our first experience with Soccer, and it couldn't have been more fun. Chad is coaching him this year, and they spend lots of time practicing. The team only has practice right before the game, and the quarters are only 5 min each. They play three on three, and don't have goalies. The goals are just little, but it seems this is a great way to get them started. We aren't suppose to keep score, but what is the fun in that? Chad teases that he is going to yell the score out every time we make a goal... but of course he didn't. Porters team won, and Porter scored two of our goals!! Porter loved having both his grandparents there to cheer him on!

And here comes Porter... Yellow team watch out.

One of Porters Goal. You can see how excited he was!

Right After Soccer we headed up to Brigham City for Peach Days. We went with Chads Mom and Dad, Amy and the kids, and met up with Cory and Maria. Porter and Trace loved riding on a few of the rides, playing games, and being with their cousins. Chads Aunts family has a Dutch Oven stand they do ever year, so we enjoyed a Dutch Oven lunch. One of our main reasons for going, was to spend some time with Grandma Great, but she was already enjoying the festivities when we got there, and both boys (and me) were too tired to stay and visit after. We met up for a quick "hello", but by then she was ready to go. We will have to make another trip to see her soon.

To top of an already "too" busy day, we had planned a barb-b-que with two of our bestest friends and their families. Tiff made the best ribs I think I have ever had. I made dutch oven potatoes and a cobbler. YUMMY. Sarah even made a Birthday cake so we could celebrate Bretts Birthday. Even though I was stressed by dinner time, it was a great night with great company, and i was glad we did it.

Thanks for putting up with us after such a hectic day.

I have to second your vote for best ribs ever! But I think those potatoes and cobbler were at the top of their lists too! What a fun yummy night!

LOVE Porters goal pic! Maybe someday he and Hunter can pass headers to each other like their daddy's!

Yeah Porter! Nice job on your goals. You look like a natural. You must take after your soccer dad! Or maybe your soccer mom. ha ha.(that would be tennis)
