Broc Steven

He's here!! On Tuesday we had our 37 week appointment, and my blood pressure and protein levels had started to go up, so doc said it was time to have our newest baby boy. My mom had a big show (she has a scrapbook company) this weekend so I tried to talk my Doctor into letting me wait until Sunday to have our little guy, but he thought waiting a couple more days was all that I could get away with. Chad and I decided Thursday Sept. 18th was our best bet... So we scheduled our C-Section.

Little Roc was born at 1:50 PM. He weighed 6lb 15oz and was 19.5 inches long. Everything has gone great since his birth. I was so releaved to have a baby who seemed ready to be here. Our stay in the hospital was long, but good. We came home Yesterday, and it sure feels good to be home!

While in the hospital we had tons of people come to see us! How fun it is to know there are lots of people who care. Here are just a few of the people who held little Roc.

We are so glad to have a new little boy in our family. I will be posting more pictures soon!

JEANS

Earlier this year I started selling jeans with a friend of mine. We are now down to the end of our inventory so we are clearing everything out. We still have some great jeans, and we are offering unbeatable prices. All of our designer denim is authentic, but we are selling them at the same prices as the knock offs are going for. If you are needing new jeans this is the time to buy! Here is a list of what we have left. We are almost out of the tiny sizes, but still have lots of 28-30. (usually about a 6-8). I have pictures of all the jeans, if you are interested. You can call me and come try them on any time! My cell phone is 801-698-1090.

The Race

Chad has been training hard for the Little Grand Canyon 1/2 marathon... and today it all paid off. He's been trying to decide if he should do it or not, because the timing wasn't going to be very good. He had to go to LA for work Thursday and Friday, and wasn't coming home until late Friday night. The race started at 6:45 AM, and was at least a 3 hour drive. So we decided that we would make it work. 3:30 Saturday morning we left our house and headed off to Price. It was a way long day, but he did awesome. He finished in 2 hours and 3 min!! In fact, he finished too fast, and we missed the end of his race. I was so sad, but he was a good sport and reenacted the finish for me for a picture! I was so proud of him.. and the kids loved it. Way to go Daddy.

Utah State Fair

What could be more fun than going to the FAIR with GRANDPA???

On Thursday my dad took me and the boys to the fair... Our day started a little late becuase I lost my keys. (no surprise, I loose things all the time, but it always slows things up.) I had a jean party the night before, and while loading up the kids into my moms car, I set my keys in her back window. So my dad had to come pick us up!
As soon as we got close to the fair grounds we started looking for a parking spot. There is this old man that lets people park in his yard for $2. As soon as we pulled in there, Porter said "This is were we parked last year"... I can never believe the kids memory.
This year at the fair they had a tiger show!! It was the highlight of my trip. Even white Tigers performed for us. The boys sat up front with Porter, but I wasn't sure sitting on the grass was the best idea for me. (Im not sure I would have made it up... Yeah I'm that big now!)

Porter always love to shoot the bb gun at the wild life booth, but this year there were no fish. I guess the tanks had been leaking.
Both boys loved all the animals, but especailly Trace. Porter was worried about all the poop, and he didn't think they smelled very good.

Porter's favorite part of the fair is the "helping hands on the farm". This year Trace was as excited as Porter.
Porter loved the Slide the best this year. I was a little surprised he wanted to do it without his Dad there... but he hiked right up to the top by himself and flew down. He told me he got sweet air!
Thanks Dad for hanging out with us all day.

Baby Shower

All of my great friends in the neighborhood threw me and Kriste a shower for our third babies. Marla decided that just because we had kids already didn't mean we shouldn't have a party to celebrate... what a great friend! Not only is it fun to get together with all of them, Marla really knows how to throw a party! She has everything done up so perfectly nothing is forgotten. We were going to play bunco, but got so busy laughing and talking that we ran out of time. Everyone brought yummy things for dinner, and plenty of things to munch on. And I should say that we were so spoiled with gifts. I got so many cute new things for the new little guy. Hooray for great friends. Thanks guys.

Back to School

Porter started school again today. I'm not sure the reason, but I caught myself getting a little emotional about it. This is his third year of preschool, so you would think I would be use to it. I think most of it is that I'm pregnant and emotional anyway... I just think my little Porter is growing up too fast. Where have the past 5 years gone?? He was so excited and just a little nervous. The smile on his face as he found his seat just melted my heart. Im so proud of him for all that he is. I sure love my Porter.

Soccer

What a busy Saturday we had. Chad is always telling me that I over book us, and this time he was right. Our fun day started with Porter's Soccer! This is our first experience with Soccer, and it couldn't have been more fun. Chad is coaching him this year, and they spend lots of time practicing. The team only has practice right before the game, and the quarters are only 5 min each. They play three on three, and don't have goalies. The goals are just little, but it seems this is a great way to get them started. We aren't suppose to keep score, but what is the fun in that? Chad teases that he is going to yell the score out every time we make a goal... but of course he didn't. Porters team won, and Porter scored two of our goals!! Porter loved having both his grandparents there to cheer him on!

Porter and his team gearing up for the big game...

Practice drill before game time

And here comes Porter... Yellow team watch out.

One of Porters Goal. You can see how excited he was!

Right After Soccer we headed up to Brigham City for Peach Days. We went with Chads Mom and Dad, Amy and the kids, and met up with Cory and Maria. Porter and Trace loved riding on a few of the rides, playing games, and being with their cousins. Chads Aunts family has a Dutch Oven stand they do ever year, so we enjoyed a Dutch Oven lunch. One of our main reasons for going, was to spend some time with Grandma Great, but she was already enjoying the festivities when we got there, and both boys (and me) were too tired to stay and visit after. We met up for a quick "hello", but by then she was ready to go. We will have to make another trip to see her soon.

To top of an already "too" busy day, we had planned a barb-b-que with two of our bestest friends and their families. Tiff made the best ribs I think I have ever had. I made dutch oven potatoes and a cobbler. YUMMY. Sarah even made a Birthday cake so we could celebrate Bretts Birthday. Even though I was stressed by dinner time, it was a great night with great company, and i was glad we did it.

I love Fall!!!

I'm pretty sure that this is what heaven feels like. The last few days have been so perfect. Last night I was out mowing my lawn because I just can't help but want to be outside. I think this might be the best time of the year! (I usually say the same thing at the beginning of winter, Spring, and Summer... I love the change of season.)

Today I got to spend the day with the boys and my Mom and Dad. We went to the Dinosaur Park in Ogden. The kids always love it there. Porter use to be really afraid of the dinosaurs, but was intrigued by them this time. Trace was a little timid... but still loved them. The few times we have been there, there have been tons of fish in the river, but today there were only a couple. We got to see them jump for food a couple of times, and Porter loves it. Trace loved feeding the bunnies, and has "showed" me what the bunnies noses do all day. It was a perfect day outside!

I SURE LOVE THE FALL.
